The sunset view in Hajar Mountains is so beautiful. That is an incentive for taking this road trip. Also, the view of the Hatta Dam and Lake is a sight worth seeing and driving for!
those sunsets looks so iconic. it’s nice to read about other places other than Dubai. Overall, it looks like a nice tranquil escape
Hatta looks like a stunning place to visit. The hotel you stayed at looks good value too with plenty of activities. I especially like the sound of the golf. The food looks delicious there too.
My explorer friend, this place looks truly magical. I love the peacock shots.
Wow! The sunset is beautiful! That dam too is so beautiful blue water! Looks like a beautiful space to be.
I am saving this for my next trip. I think that I will make it to Dubai until next summer if everything goes according to my travel plan.
Dubai is one of the great place I have ever been. Such a lot of sights. Your hotel accommodation looks so stunning. It’s so great that they have an sports activities like Shooting-Range, Archery-Range and mini Golf Course.

Looks amazing and somehow very peaceful. I’d actually never heard of Hatta. The name sounds very Finnish, but doesn’t mean anything in our language.
WOw that’s look great . Dubai it’s a great and beautiful land . I wish I can get there one day .
we always enjoy Dubai, though been there so many times, I would not think twice to go back. Foods and places are great!
I have never been to Dubai, but it is on my list. My husband lived there for a couple of months and he absolutely loved it. Thanks for sharing the details about Hatta, will refer it to friends in Dubai.
I wouldn’t have guesses that this hotel is near Dubai. The surroundings looks so different from what I am used to seeing in the Emirates. I love the greens and the wildlife around Hatta.
You are a great explorer, i loved all photos and beautiful sights of Dubai, i heard lot of good things about Dubai from my friends, i would love to visit this place someday and explore it.
Look at that sunset! Stunning! Everything looks elegant and very relaxing! I love peacocks myself, so I would definitely be happy seeing them!
I am a huge animal lover so knowing that there will be so many animals nearby would be wonderful. I also love the sound of watching the Sunset in Hajar Mountains, can you imagine how magical that would be? x
I love this place and the drive… 🙂 But I don’t know why I have always missed going to Hatta Dam!
Wow this is spectacular! That sunset is just beautiful! I can’t believe that’s in Dubai!
I’ve only ever stopped off at Hatta Fort for lunch on the way to or from visa runs but I love it, I really want to go stay there. As a kid we spend a lot of time at the Hatta rock pools catching frogs!
What a fabolous getaway from the city and only an hour away. The sunset looks gorgeous over there! Motorbiking on the mountain sounds fun!
Whoa. I have been at Dubai. But I never been here at least this place which is mentioned. Only question: is the visit worth?
If you love rough mountains, trekking and hiking adventures then it is worth and for people who lives in Dubai is worth going because we want to get relaxed in nature after busy city life.
This hotel sounds like a good choice to stay in Hatta. I love sunrise/sunset photos, and yours capture it perfectly. I’ve never been to UAE, only passed through on a connecting flight, so I’ll remember this place and hotel should I ever visit.
To be honest I have not heard of Hatta before but it looks lovely, I never realise such a place existence just outside of Dubai. I would definitely go here next time I am in Dubai.
Some of these pictures do not look the way I would expect the UAE to look. So far, I’ve only had a short layover in Dubai. I like the airport there better than Doha.
Honestly I had not heard of Hatta before. It looks like a quiet and beautiful retreat to me. I will include it in my list when I visit Dubai
Thanks for introducing me to Dubai. I have not visited there. Hatta looks very interesting for somebody who enjoys outdoor activities.
I was in the UAE during Christmas of 2014 -waw, that means already 3 years ago. I went for a one-day trip to Fujairah and it was so different from what you experience in Dubai and Abi Dhabi. I remember I had Hatta on my list but my host was not so interested in going there and I had to skip it. Have you been to Al Ain, at the border with Oman? Its forts are awesome and listed as a Unesco heritage site.
Yes i been to Al-ain also
Wow, Hatta looks absolutely gorgeous! I had never considered visiting the area around Dubai, but now it’s on my list!
Looks like an amazing tip. Beautiful!
Dubai is on my bucket list! I saw a peacock for the first time when we went to Jamaica 2 months ago to get married. So beautiful!
Wow, Hatta Lake looks so beautiful! I would love to kayak there
I am sharing this with some girls I know that are living in Dubai. I am sure they will love this (specially that wildlife at the window). 😉
The sunset looks amazing!
Wow! This is Dubai?? I can not believe it! Well, these shots are beautiful! You’re really an explorer!!!!
