The pictures of the tea made me want some very badly – I will have to make some Mint Tea yet this evening! I loved so much about Istanbul, the religious sites were unbelievable!

  6. Ah, you’re pictures are making me all sentimental. It’s been a couple of years that I haven’t been to Istanbul – and now…who knows when unlimited travel to Turkey will be possible again. Whereby, German journalists also tend to be a bit hesitant to travel to Turkey for political reasons. Neverthelesse, just beautiful images – thank you for sharing!

  7. Istanbul is such an exciting and dramatic city to photograph. We love visiting there, and usually use it as an excuse for a layover, as we spend a lot of time in Turkey. The Galata Tower is a good place for a visit, because the vantage point from the top of the tower gives you a panoramic view of the city’s layout, and can help you plan your walking tour.

  8. I have never been to Istanbul so, I had no idea what to expect when I started reading your post. These are amazing. The interior of the blue mosque. I just love how detailed it is. It is also nice to see the modern architecture in the area. Just the perfect balance that we need.

I love the look of the Blue Mosque and the colorful homes. The food looks delicious as well! I can’t wait until we are able to travel again and I am able to make it there.

  11. This virtual tour was very bright and cheery. Istanbul has been on my cards for long. Last year, I had my 2 hours halt at the airport but I could not step out to see the city. The airport had crazy handicrafts, sweets and other colourful souvenirs The architecture is fascinating and I am sure once everything is fine, I will be going to Istanbul some day… Would love to have some fresh fruits from there and that pomegranate juice.

  21. Magnificent! I love those ceilings on the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. So colorful! Your eyes must have been really dazzled. Those lamps in the market are also beautiful! That and a rug are definitely souvenirs to pick up. Did you try the Turkish hammams? What’s the experience like?

    1. I was not having time for hammams and so missed it. Only 4 days in Istanbul is really very less as it has so much to see
