JBR, The Walk is one of the most popular stretch parallel running to The Beach for outdoor dining and Entertainment in Dubai. You will find cuisines from all over the world and some of them are Michelin star restaurants. Interesting restaurants, cafes, Pubs, Bars, Beach shacks and entertainment zones are scattered all over the open promenade of JBR, The Walk and The Beach. You can get the view of The Beach or the view of lively streets with some quirky shops and entertainment. You can decide which type of view enchants you the more. In this article, I am presenting with the mini-Guide to Best Restaurants in JBR The WALK DUBAI. Though I have not eaten in all so, the list is as per my experience.

THE NOODLE HOUSE – Authentic Far-East cuisine served on to your plate with rustic wooden decor. Dishes are prepared in front of you at open kitchen by professional staff eastern Asia. There is outdoor seating available too. A nice fine dining type of restaurant with rustic wooden tables and modern decor.

WHY THE NOODLE HOUSE – Fine Dining style with Asian and modern decor. Welcoming staff. Yummy and delicious food. You will find many vegetarian varieties too. 

EL CHICO – Authentic Mexican food on your plate with many innovations. El Chico a story which started in 1926 when a mother with the help of 12 children opened this small restaurant and became popular from 1940 onwards. Now it has 75 restaurants at 25 locations all over the world. But they have maintained the same Mexican flavors. Go for this historical Mexican food at El Chico.

WHY EL CHICO – Quirky colorful Mexican style of interiors and also have outdoor seating option with lively views of the street. Also, Mexican flavors are awesome.

MANGO TREE THAI BISTRO – Authentic Thai flavors with vibrant colorful interiors make it a favorable spot for dining out in JBR. It has a huge seating capacity with options of indoor and outdoor. Dishes are prepared under the head chef Atip and some of the dishes are a signature brand. A nice cozy, lively, colorful family-friendly eating out option.

Where to eat in JBR, The Mango Tree Thai Bistro

WHY MANGO TREE THAI BISTRO – Many varieties of Thai dishes, vegetarians can also find many options, colorful interiors, and beautiful location. 

BLAZE BURGERS  – Burger means fast food but this joint especially boasts of crafting the burger in many innovations and are served fresh to your table. Established first in Bahrain during 2011 this joint has opened up another branch at JBR, Dubai. Also, the graffiti art inside the restaurant is worth watching out with some humorous messages.

WHY BLAZE BURGERS– Many innovative burgers and not only burgers but they have interesting spicy potato fries. They allow you to select from various sauces and that too which are sealed. Pick your own sauce from their condiment section.

THE YELLOW MONKEY – Authentic Thai flavors with rustic interiors of wooden and yellow color make it a favorable spot for dining out in JBR. It has seating both indoor and outdoor. The funny monkey faces are painted all over the restaurant which makes it a very unique place. As monkeys love to swing around the branches of trees, there is a swing style of seating arrangements, so that while you eat, you feel like a monkey is eating.  A nice cozy, lively, colorful family-friendly eating out option.

WHY THE YELLOW MONKEY – Many varieties of Thai dishes, vegetarians can also find many options, swing style seats, funny money themed interiors. 

WOFL– It serves interesting waffles with a twist and follows the homegrown food concept in Dubai. They prepare fresh WOFL’s and don’t use premixes. Right from making the batter to stuffings, everything is prepared fresh when you order your waffles. The waffles are a meal in itself with a wide range of savory and sweet options.

WHY WOFL – Interesting way of having savory waffles at WOFL and wide varieties of having a wholesome meal. They use eco-friendly stuff like wooden knife and fork, brown paper plates and packing materials. 

CHILI’S – A tex-mex style of cuisine offered in this famous chain of American casual dining. The energetic and lively atmosphere they serve sizzling tastes to your table with many options to select from.

WHY CHILI’S – They have now introduced many vegetarian options in their menu which are very interesting to select if you love tex-mex cuisine.

OPERATION FALAFEL – True Place for Arabic Street food with authentic flavors in a warehouse decor restaurant. A slight modern touch to authentic Arabian flavors prepared in the open style of the kitchen would surely tickle your taste buds.

THE ICE FACTORY –  Located in the heart of JBR, this ice-cream joint serves natural ice-creams without any artificial colorings or flavors. They source low-fat milk from local dairies and you can choose from around 15 to 16 flavors approximately.

WHY ICE FACTORY – The views of the lively street and famous crossroads of JBR is amazing from here. You get many natural flavors in reasonable cost.

There are also many famous food chains like Pizza Hut, Mc Donalds, KFC, Subway, Tim Hortons(24 hours open) at The Walk, JBR.

Best Restaurants in JBR The WALK DUBAI


  1. To Reach JBR, you can take Dubai Metro Red Line to DAMAC Metro station or JLT Metro station and after that, take Tram and drop down at JBR 1 or JBR2 stations.
  2. There are two car parks North Zone and South Zone. Valet car park is also available. Keep parking ticket with you as some restaurants waive of 3 hours parking cost.
  3. Grab outdoor seats as you can lively view of bustling streets, fancy cars, street entertainment. Indoor dining is also interesting with quirky and colorful wall art on walls of restaurants.
  4. Free Wi-Fi is available in most of the restaurants.
  5. In some restaurants prior reservation is required.
  6. Many restaurants run deals or offer on Entertainer (app & Book), Groupon, Botim Calling app, JBR online site, and some credit cards. Check all deals as sometimes they run offers like Pay for 1 main course and get another main course free.
  7. Vegetarians can also get their choices.
  8. Very popular restaurants among residents and tourists.
  9. Tipping is not mandatory.
  10. Watch out for street entertainments, Fireworks(on special days), live performances while dining in your favorite restaurants.

  12. There are many food trucks scattered over many places on beach, grass area and on the walk. Also, many small kiosks sell Turkish icecreams, Corn, Roasted Hazelnuts/Chestnuts and fresh Coconut water.

  1. What a wide variety of cuisines to select from! It looks like they have something for every taste, with a bit more for the typical American palette. That is a beautiful setting for any meal.

  2. I’ve only been to Dubai on a connecting flight, so this is helpful information if I ever exit one day! Given it’s the middle east, I’d want to try the Arabic food more than anything so would head there first. I live half the year in Italy, so I’d probably avoid eating it in Dubai as I have it all the time 🙂

  13. Oh my goodness, Starbucks is everywhere! It’s my go-to iced coffee stop here in the US but I had no idea I might find one in Dubai. If I were to visit, I think I would have to give the ice cream shop a try!

  17. O wow..this stretch is like a mini-microcosm of gastronomic flavours from around the world! So much of variety at one place yet different with varied restos and decor. I would love to try those handcrafted burgers for sure. There is something exotic in the way Scoozi serves its dishes and the story of El-Chico is quite inspiring.And, and…those grilled/smoked capsicums of Eat Greek are drool-worthy. Love this comprehensive post of restos!

  18. Such a great selection of restaurants and food! I’ve never been to Dubai but would love to go for sightseeing and trying these yummy dishes. I love Mexican food so El-Chico would be on my list. The Cheesecake factory sounds tasty too. It’s good to know that tipping is not mandatory and there are free Wi-Fi in most of the restaurants.

  21. I’m so glad I found this post, I’m currently planning a trip to Dubai so this will be so handy. The ice cream and gelato caught my eye as did the Lebanese and Greek restaurants. I’m sure this place can get busy and is great for people watching if you can get an outdoor table – probably great for an evening.

  23. Wow what a selection and a foodies paradise I must say. There are so many of them I never imagined. It offers a huge range and something for everyone to enjoy. Personally for me will be the tex mex followed by burgers and then to top it off undoubdtly the gelato. A great place to sip a coffee and watch the world go by as well.   34. JBR Walk is truly a very happening place in Dubai with so many cool restaurant options. El Chico has a lovely story behind it. Also the ambiance and mexican food of the restaurant looks amazing. I would love to dine at this restaurant. Will also be checking out Blaze burgers, Scoozi and Luigia. These restaurants look really unique. It’s awesome to see the variety of cuisines available there. Also the outdoor seatings and WowJBR are wonderful sights in JBR.

  35. I’m always so surprised at the diversity of Dubai’s culinary scene. They seem to be able to perfect everything from burgers, tacos, Arabic food, woofles, the list is never ending! I think that it’s great how diverse Dubai. I would definitely want to give this list to locals and see what their favorites are.
