Greek cuisine is highly influenced by Mediterranean cuisine. Authentic Greek cuisine includes a large number of vegetables, olives, olive oil, wheat/grains, Feta cheese wine(red & wine) meat and fish. Let’s take an overview of EAT GREEK KOUZINA – Specialist in authentic Greek food which also offers a wide variety of great locations of Dubai flavors. Flavors from authentic Greek lanes to sun-kissed beaches of Dubai.

AMBIANCE / DÉCOR OF EAT GREEK KOUZINA – Mediterranean Inspired décor with truly Greek interiors like as if you have entered Greek tavern.  Step inside the cozy interiors with limestone & wooden floors, stone washed walls with traditional wooden beams and all with a view of the shining seas of Dubai.  Also, I loved those twinkly fairy lights in a birdcage hanging from ceilings. 

WHAT I ORDERED –

Spanakorizo Veg. Rice – Rice slowly cooked with spinach, dill and spring onions.

Veggie Pita – Roasted vegetables with Tzatziki, tomato, onions wrapped in a Pita Bread served with thick cut French Fries.

Gemista – Traditional and very famous Greek cuisine.  Stuffed Jumbo Green peppers and Tomatoes with rice sauteed in herbs.  Served with thick cut French Fries. 

MY VERDICT –

Ambiance – 5 out of 5

Food – 4 out of 5

Service – 4 out of 5

Cleanliness – 5 out of 5

LET’S go for MEXICAN FLAVORS at Dubai Marina’s Premiere Lifestyle Dining Destination – PIER 7, O CACTI

Mexican cuisine’s history dates back to 9000 years ago and now has been one of the most popular cuisines worldwide.  The basic Mexican food comprises of corn, beans, Chilli, peppers, Sour Cream, Avocado, Rice, Vegetables, and Meat. 

O CACTI is a fine dining Latin-themed restaurant which offers Mexican cuisine with stunning views of Dubai Marina.  It has been led by famous Chef Marco Abed. O Cacti is highly known for its Sizzling Latin-themed restaurant and cocktail bar.  They also have special Ladies Day which you can check on their website. 

AMBIANCE / DÉCOR OF O CACTI – Located at a most premium location with bar styled seating and also sofa style with great views of Dubai Marina.  This Latin-themed bar also has live music, DJ and terrace seating arrangement.

WHAT I ORDERED

Chile Curico Valley Val Divieso Cabarnet Rose – Striking Red colored Cocktail wine with sweet aromas of strawberries & raspberries. It tastes like berry wine. 

With this, they serve complimentary Nachos with Mexican dips like Salsa and Sour cream. 

Locuras De La Cocina Fajita De La Casa – Marinated exotic vegetables served on a hot sizzling plate which is accompanied with sour cream, Rice, Beans, Guacamole, Shredded cheese.

Vegetable Quesadilla – Traditional Corn Grilled Tortilla filled with cheese, veggies, salsa, avocado, etc. 

MY VERDICT –

Ambiance – 5 out of 5

Food –3.5 out of 5

Service –3.8  out of 5

Cleanliness – 5 out of 5

TIPS – Dress smartly or stylish.  Children are not allowed during evening/night for dinners but they can go for Lunch.  Book your table on Terrace. if you love the views.

RECOMMENDED FOR – Romantic Evening Dinners, Couple Dinners, Dance Parties, and Celebrations. 

PRICE – 400-450 approximately with Alcohol  FOR 2 Persons.

Enjoy the views of yachts sailing across Dubai Marina amidst stunning skylines of Dubai with shaking your legs or holding your favorite exotic drinks.

These both restaurants are located in tourist places of Dubai with great views.  Being a vegetarian, I have reviewed all vegetarian dishes. They have a lot of non-vegetarian dishes too.

  1. Same as Bernie, looove stuffed peppers and tomatoes! Also, I haven’t been to Greece since I was a teenager, and haven’t been to Greek restaurant for years either, but now that I think about it, I love Greek cuisine- thanks for the inspiration for a lunch this week. 🙂

  8. I love Greek food. Both the restaurants are located at stunning location. When you have great food in a gorgeous location like this, it makes a last impression on mind. I loved O CACTI specially for their rules for Dinner where children are not allowed and smart dressing. I would love to experience it when am in Dubai next time.

  9. Dubai indeed is a melting pot of cultures and that reflects in the gastronomic trails that this dazzling city offers! I am a fan of Greek food. The fact that there are so many vegan options appeal to me. I have never tasted Gemista though. I loved the ambiance of O Cacti. The name of the restaurant is also so catchy!

  10. Thank you for your recommendations. I would never have thought about having greek food in Dubai! EAT GREEK KOUZINA has an interesting interior with the bird cages. It’s great to know their food is awesome, but the highlight must have been their beach view!

  11. I love Greek food and Mexican food and both of these restaurants look like great places to eat at in Dubai. The Gemista looks delicious and quite filling. And both the restaurants have great views, which is always nice for an evening out.

  12. Dubai has so much to offer and this a classic example of the great possibilities in DXB. Greek food at its best. Seems a great place to experience some authentic Greek cuisine. The kouzina has a great ambience as well and the red cocktail compliments the background. A great place to visit in Dubai and thanks for sharing.

  13. But those views! I’m personally more apt to choose Mexican but I see that it was pricier and you gave them a lower rating. Still sounds like they’re both worth a visit.

  15. Being a food blogger, I am always trying out different cuisines and dishes, however never actually tried Greek cuisine. Surely will do so when I get the next opportunity.
