MAHARAJA BHOG A perfect style of royal feast and served with lots of love. Thali style of eating with many varieties of delicacies and here flavors of Rajasthan and Gujarat are dominating the food scene.

USHNA – A fine Dining restaurant in Souk Madinat Jumeirah is perfect for romantic dinners.  USHNA means warmth and therefore dining here reflects passion and warmth. Served with love, the classical Indian cuisine in a contemporary style. Here you will find North Indian food.

 GAZEBO– A Royal Indian Journey in Dubai which serves excellent North Indian, Mughlai cuisine.  The Gazebo is an award-winning restaurant with its unique Biryani with full of delightful aromas.  The descendants of Bawarchi’s and Rakabdars ( chefs in Mughals households) are recreating amazing dishes using 200 years old recipes.

CALICUT NOTEBOOK RESTAURANT – Calicut (Kozhikode) is located on the Malabar coast of India and so as the name suggests, you will find pure Malabar coastal style of Indian cuisine here.  Though the location of the restaurant is not great you must try it for tasting Keralite cuisine.

PURANMAL A savory & Indian sweets(Mithai) restaurant shop with around 18 outlets in the city. I have tried the Discovery Garden one and so referring that to you all.  If you love Indian sweets(Mithai), savory snacks (Namkeens), Indian Street food (Chaats) then go for this. They also provide delicious Indian breakfast early in the morning.

As the name suggests Mumtaz, you can see paintings and glimpses of Taj Mahal in every corner of this restaurant. This restaurant offers live entertainment in the form of Bollywood songs and dances in the evening with dinner.

TIPS TO BE CONSIDERED – MINI GUIDE TO INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI

  • It is better to book tables in advance, especially on weekends to avoid huge rush and queue.
  • Some restaurants have Valet Parking, so call them before.
  • There are a lot of spices in Indian cuisine and so before ordering check with your waiter for Very spicy, Medium(Normal) Spicy and Less Spicy.
  • You can find a lot of vegetarian varieties in all Indian Restaurants as vegetarianism is very common in Indian lifestyle.
  • For Fine Dining restaurants category, check deals on Groupon or Entertainer. They offer discounts to many credit cards also.

  1. I love to eat Indian food, if it’s not too spicy of course 😛 Those restaurants in Dubai look so elegant and rich, not like I remember from India. I was wandering about the first one, Maharaja, it serves food from Rajastan, but the photo looks like food in Kerala, is it similar?

    1. Hi Anita, the food from Rajasthan and Kerala are very different but as both have Thali option , so it is looking similar to you.

  2. Well, I love Indian food, visit the restaurants in Helsinki, where I live. And now I know where to go in Dubai! They seem to have more of those.

  4. Have heard of Gharana, Bombay Brassiere, and Gazebo a lot – they are really popular, and yes expensive. I wasn’t aware of the Malabar restaurant in Dubai. So great to see different Indian cuisine restaurans in the city. I would love Maharaj Bhog and Rajdhani Street as well.
