Great post!! So many great tips. I have yet to discover Dubai but it seems like I would love this middle eastern city. It is so bizarre to think that there a literally a beach located in a middle of a dessert and the best thing bout Dubai is that it has something for every one with different ages.
Yes Daniel, the amazing part of this city is there is so much to do for all ages and tastes.
The best thing about Bluewaters Island by Meraas is that it includes the world’s largest observation wheel – Ain Dubai. This island is divided into residential areas, retail centers, hotels, beaches, apartments, entertainment, clubs and much more. Bluewaters Island is ready to provide you a new living experience with mesmerizing views of Dubai.
Yes it is the best place in Dubai
Wow! Mind blowing, wonderful, fantastic, and excellent guide. Hey Yukti, Falling in love with your blog seriously I love the way that you shared the information and you covered all the point. Dubai is also in my favorites list but I never thought that someone can describe it brilliantly like you did. Everyplace that you talked is amazing. Just sharing your blog with my lovely community as you deserve that. Thanks for sharing wonderful post with us.
Thanks Ayman and it is great that you found this information very useful and sharing with your community. I would love to write more on enchanting Dubai
Hi Yukti,
First of all, Thank you for your quick response and yes, It would be a great idea if you will describe some residential areas for first time travelers. This would be a great help for newbies. Thanks again
Yes sure will do that too.
Dubai’s really one of those destinations that cater for everyone. I’ve only been to connect to another flight (!) but I should exit the airport next time! The Burj Khalifa looks amazing, and would be the first place to visit. I’m not an adventurer, but my partner would love to try out that zipline! It looks too scary for me!
Thanks Lisa, yes even zipline is very scary for me too but adventure loving people really enjoy it
I have been to Dubai last year. I didn’t quite enjoy it probably because I wasn’t able to ride the camel! Haha! Kidding aside, Dubai is a melting pot of culture, people and food. It’s a great destination for foodies and travel enthusiasts!
Dubai definitely is the city that has everything for everyone! There are so many different things to do here! I love the juxtaposition of the camel at the beach – that’s not a sight you would see in very many other places. The Miracle Garden and Jumeirah Beach both look like places I would especially enjoy.
Thanks Cynthia and yes you are true that camel on beach here is very unique thing to do here which you will not find anywhere else.
This post is so helpful, thank you! I am looking at going to Dubai next year for a week with my dad, who is older but active: I think we would enjoy a combination of activities from each of your itineraries. You provided so many more options for activities than the main Google sites; I am especially looking forward to visiting some of the older markets!
Thanks
Wow! Even though I knew Dubai had so much to offer, your post really showed me that there is even more than I realized! I appreciate that you took the time to create separate itineraries for different interests! As a family, your itinerary for young children looks perfect! The Miracle Garden looks amazing and would be a must-see for me!
It sounds like there’s something for everyone in Dubai! What a diverse place to visit with so much to do. With all your suggestions, you could easily fill up a week of things to do. It’s great to know that we should book the Burj Khalifa Observation Deck in advanced especially for the evening session. Will definitely keep in mind. And oh my, zip lining at Dubai Marina sounds like so much fun! I’d love to do this – the adrenaline would be awesome. And Bollywood Park sounds totally intriguing. I totally have to plan a trip!
I haven’t been to Dubai for over 10years and it looks and sounds like it has changed a lot. It is definitely a place that I would love to go back explore again especially places like visiting the Burj Khalifa, which weren’t there then. Thanks for the great tip about skipping the line at Burj Khalifa that are the types of things I like to know about . I would also definitely love to do an evening Sunset Desert Safari at Red Dunes
Thanks Mel, Yes Dubai has got many attractions now as compared to 10 years back, it is growing very fast.
What an interesting post about the amazing city of Dubai. Every time I visit Dubai has something new in store for all age groups. From beautiful beaches, through restaurants and cafes to clubbing scene and malls, Dubai has it all! Thank you for sharing this, I learned a few new things about Dubai
Thanks Elena
You put together a great comprehensive guide to Dubai, which is no small feat! I really loved the sections where you talked about the beaches and the desert treks. La Mer Beach looks like a dream and very “Caribbean-esque” for a beach in Dubai. Great suggestions!
Thanks Martha, yes La Mer beach really looks like some Caribbean destination.
How did I not know that Dubai had nice beaches?! I’ve read about the gardens, the architecture and the shopping but never the beaches. Good to know!
Dubai has nice beaches with good sun
There really are so many things to do in Dubai isn’t it? It’s nice that you’ve suggested an itinerary for all kinds of travellers – from families to honeymooning couples and even luxury travellers. The best part about the city is – you can find budget options as well as premium options in terms of hotels as well as activities. The desert safari itself is available for different budget options, from the usual one to the premium / private one. Youve pretty much captured all options in this post.
Thanks Medha, yes Dubai offers many options to all budgets and we can select from many choices offered
There is soo much to do in Dubai .. I am missing it more and more. Great blog.
Just cannot get over the granduer of ibn Battuta Mall. It was a shopping experience, one of a kind. Definitely Delightful Dubai.
Dubai is a fascinating city! We have only ever flown through the airport, but we want to go back to explore!
Yes sure, next time have a big lay over here in Dubai
Wow there is so much to do in Dubai! I love how you can spend a week there easily and not get bored, or see the main sites in just a day. I’d love to try some of the adventure activities like bungee jumping – followed by relaxing on the beach 🙂 Really hope I get the chance to visit Dubai soon!
Thanks Diana
What an elaborated post! It is really clever that you made different itineraries. I must admit that Dubai was not on my bucket list but after reading this post I might have to change my mind! You paint a very pretty picture with those cool pictures too!
Thanks Lola, you can plan Dubai in many ways whichever you like.
This is great timing as we are booked to visit Dubai in the new year. For us it’s a family trip with my parents, my sister and brother-in-law and their two little toddler boys. Thanks for the tips on booking the Burk Khalif Observation Deck in advance, we will do that and maybe the Aquarium as well. We are also interested in the desert safari, and I’m sure we’ll do one of the theme parks with the nephews.
Thanks Kavita, and you book your preferred timings for Burj Khalifa as sometimes all slots are fully booked.
Hi Yukti,
Thanks for sharing. This is a really comprehensive guide. I’ve never been to Dubai and I feel a bit silly for saying, but I didn’t realise there was so much to do here. I especially liked the short layover guide. I always seem to have layovers in Dubai, next time I’ll try and make it a bit longer to join the sightseeing bus tour.
Thanks Erin
This is surely a one stop blog for Dubai itinerrit.you have got it covered for all types of travellers. Wow! The desert safari us something I really look forward to in Dubai
Thanks Sinjana
What great options you’ve provided for Dubai visitors based on interests. I’m not all that interested in the theme parks and not adventurous enough for some of the more daring activities but your honeymooners itinerary sounds divine. I’ve always wanted to go up to the observation deck and now I know to reserve ahead of time if I want to go in the evening. The food options sound delicious too!
Thanks Annick
This is such a great and in depth guide. We visited Dubai early this year and to be honest I found it to be one of the very different places we’ve ever been. We enjoy exploring the area around the creek and more on the outskirts of the city where things seemed more authentic.
This was a really interesting read as I’m visiting Dubai for 3 nights next year. I’ll be staying in JUMEIRAH so it was interesting to find out that this is a good place to stay for the beach and transport links. Definitely going to go to the top of The Burj Khalifa!
Thanks
This is such an incredibly comprehensive guide! I had no idea Dubai had so many adventure activities! The view of Dubai while skydiving must be absolutely incredible, and I’ve always wanted to try sand boarding. On the luxury side though, I would really enjoy eating diner at Atlantis someday!
Thanks Amanda, yes from ski dive you can have amazing views of this beautiful city.
Not sure if I be interested in places like Legoland and Ferrari but I do love to check out the city, beach and I have to admit, a nose into all the luxury hotels 😀 Would love to go out into the desert for some activities. Now that does appeal to me 🙂
Thanks Dainik, I have therefore presented with many itineraries and you can select what suits you.
What an interesting post about an equally interesting city Dubai. I have travelled many a times yet find someone new every time. Not just fir adults so much to do with the kids. Beaches amusement parks and desert safari all great way to enjoy Dubai with kids. Clubs bars and shopping fir the adults. Dxb has it all.
Thanks Amar, yes Dubai is for all tastes and ages
I only visited Dubai on a business trip and one of the things I enjoy the most on business trips to Dubai is the culture difference. It truly feels like you enter a different world, it was like something I haven’t seen before. I was fascinated by this idea of a huge city in the middle of the desert. Thank you for sharing this article, I think anyone should read it before visiting Dubai.
Thanks Daniel.
That architecture…so amazing. That’s what I think of when I hear Dubai. But now I’m also thinking about the food. That picture makes a gastronomy tour high on my list!
Thanks
Fabulous review. Extensive and in-depth information. Great photography too. Well done! Best wishes Sebby
