An artificial canal city that is spread across 3 km stretches of the Persian Gulf shoreline and has wonderful, glittering skyscrapers, bridges, canals, and nightlife.  Post clubs, bars, restaurants, expensive yacht rides, and cruising dominate Dubai marina and its name itself suggests all marina adventures. Therefore there are some of the best hotels in Dubai Marina.

It is well connected with public transport though a little bit crowded in the evening and weekend.

Not a tourist area but a functional neighborhood of Dubai. But its location in between old and new and good connectivity has made it a favorable hotel stay option. BUR DUBAI | AL FAHIDI | AL SEEF

The heart of Dubai which means in ancient times, this neighborhood was Dubai and so you can find all ancient buildings and markets here. Historically Dubai has located nearby Dubai Creek which is in this neighborhood and there was nothing in the above-mentioned neighborhoods.  These neighborhoods of Dubai are considered to be the cultural, historic areas. You can spot lots of local businesses and Asians here, significantly people from the Indian sub-continent.

PALM JUMEIRAH

The man-made archipelago with a palm shape is the most famous in all world. The palm-shaped island has 3 miles long trunk with branches and each branch host luxury beachside hotels, or villas. • Resorts are widely spread, so walking between them can’t be done. Have to rely on resort activities & eating options.

• Shopping is not close by.

DEIRA

Not a tourist area but a great old part of Dubai with many local businesses, souqs, and proximity to the airport and creek.  The famous Gold Souk, the textile souk of Dubai lies in this part. Deira is often mistaken as Bur Dubai as they both look very similar and sometimes I too get confused, though I live here. Dubai Creek bisects Bur Dubai and Deira.

JLT – JUMEIRAH LAKE TOWERS

One of the largest modern development in Dubai comprises 80 towers on 3 artificial lakes and gardens. Mostly this area is dominated by residences, business hotels, cozy restaurants, offices, and many gardens.

• The main attractions are not walkable but well connected. For every attraction, you have to take the Metro or Taxi.
• No shopping options except grocery items. 

DISCOVERY GARDENS 

Discovery Gardens is a residential community of Dubai with many clusters of buildings, shopping areas, restaurants, and residential service apartments, hypermarkets, shopping malls, and metro stations. This area is garden-themed and located away from busy city life. It is closer to Expo 2020 site. The community features spacious multi-sized apartment blocks surrounded by lush foliage, manicured lawns, and desert blooms.

Wide open spaces and landscaped gardens are outside the buildings with various amenities. Hotel Apartment is most preferred for being located near the mall and metro station. People staying here can visit Ibn Battuta Mall and Discovery Garden Metro Station. There is an affordable area to stay in in Dubai.

So if you are planning a visit to Dubai, then before selecting a hotel, download hotel apps on your phone or follow their social media accounts, so that you can come across such deals and can crack easily.
• Hotels of Dubai are expensive in winter – from late October to March-end.
• If you want to save money, then consider the apartment stays in Dubai as they are also equally luxurious and located in prime locations with superb views of the Dubai skyline. Some apartments also offer a breakfast option, if you don’t want to cook.
• If you are not booking any pre-booked guided tours for Dubai and self-planning your trip, then choose a hotel with proximity to the Metro station. Metro is very safe and provides a beautiful ride across Dubai.
• All metro stations are located on the main national highway – Sheikh Zayed Road, so hotels closer to this highway are nearer to metro or taxi availability.

• There are many Hilton’s, Hyatt’s, or Holiday Inn specific to neighborhoods and class amenities. So don’t get confused while booking with the same brand name, check the neighborhood associated with their name.
• Jumeirah is not only the name of hotel chains but there are several areas or neighborhoods with Jumeirah as their name. There are many “Jumeirah” in the city, so don’t get confused with the name Jumeirah. They all are widespread.
• All areas of Dubai are very very safe and even hotels too. So there is no need to worry about a safety issues in Dubai.
